Urinary Appliances

As an allied commissioned service, we employed a dedicated team of nurses who reviewed and validated patients receiving a range of urinary products such as catheters.

Waste and inappropriate use of products were major issues - the service has led to significant reductions, and improved the quality of patient care.

Although the expenditure on these products increased year on year, the increase across the CCG has been less than the other Leeds CCGs by 4% and shows that this has the potential to equate to savings of £15-£20,000 a year.
